A steam turbine is a rotary heat engine that converts thermal energy contained in the steam to mechanical energy or to electrical energy. In its simplest form, a steam turbine consists of a boiler (steam generator), turbine, condenser, feed pump and a variety of auxiliary devices. The basic operation of the steam turbine is similar to the gas turbine except that the working fluid is water and steam instead of air or gas.

Steam Turbine has two types namely Impulse turbine and Reaction turbine.

Steam is generated in boiler which is then passed through the turbine (arrangement of nozzle and diaphragm rings). The steam expands through the nozzle, where most of the pressure potential energy is converted to kinetic energy. Further, the pressure compounding and velocity compounding of steam takes place to get the maximum efficiency.

Pumps:

  1. Pump Shaft

  2. Impeller

  3. Assembly of Impeller & Shaft

  4. Stellite Coating

  5. Metal Spray Coating

  6. Hard-chrome Plating

An impeller is a part of a pump or compressor that rotates at a high speed and acts as a propeller to increase a fluid's pressure and flow rate. Impellers are made from various metals such as steel, iron or bronze, as well as plastics. The impeller transfers energy to the fluid as it passes through the pump, which increases the fluid's velocity at the pump's discharge outlet.

Shredder Machines:

  1. Shredder blades

  2. Rotor with Cutters

  3. Shaft

Industrial shredders are devices that efficiently shred every material from tissues and thin plastics to corrugated boxes and beverage containers. Industrial shredders facilitate quick and efficient compaction and destruction of large volumes of material. Advanced industrial shredders also come with automatic feed systems that maximize productivity while cutting the cost of operators. Shredding systems are typically employed for size reduction of a given material. Shredder machines is being used in various industries such as chemical plants, waste reduction and management, recycling of plastic, e-waste, scrap tire and wood.

Types of Shredder: Plastic Shredder, Tire Shredder and Paper Shredder

Centrifuge Machine:

  1. Hollow shaft

  2. Pusher shaft

  3. Piston

  4. Baskets

  5. Gear Pulley

  6. Screen

An industrial centrifuge is a machine used for fluid/particle separation. Centrifuges rely on the use of centrifugal force, generating several hundreds or thousands of times earth’s gravity. Industrial centrifuges can be classified into two main types: sedimentation and filtering centrifuges. Sedimentation centrifuges use centrifugal force to separate solids from liquids, as well as two liquids with different specific gravities. Sedimentation centrifuges include decanter, disk-stack, solid-bowl basket and tubular bowl centrifuges.

Filtering centrifuges use centrifugal force to pass a liquid through a filtration media, such as a screen or cloth while solids are captured by the filtering media.  Filtering centrifuges primarily deal with perforate basket, pusher and peeler centrifuges.

These centrifuges are used in a wide variety of process industries which can be divided into several categories: Wastewater processing, Chemical processing, Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industries, Fuel and Biofuel industry, Food Processing, Mining and mineral.
